I've been visiting forums for the past 2 weeks since my petition at CSC is pending under Premium Processing. I don't think this is accurate especially for I-129 pending at CSC, VSC as I see in the forums that for several people its taking more than 2 months for regular H-1B.
IN my case, I filed under PP at CSC on 25th May. They received via fedex on 27th May, but they issued me a receipt on 6th June only. Going at all the forums, it appears its happening with everyone. Then they issue a RFE on the 14th day of the receipt.

USCIS reports that 1000 H-1Bs were receipted over the past week with 34,500 now counted. 400 masters cap cases were added bringing the total to 13,000 in that category. That's about on pace with the last several weeks and the exhaustion target in that category remains February 2011. My methodology is simple. Congratulations to Swedish-born Paul N.J. Ottosson who won two Academy Awards this evening for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing for The Hurt Locker. Ottosson came on a tourist visa in the 80s with some friends to try and make it as a rock musician. Can I file I-485 for self and I-824 (application for changing AOS to CP for approved immigration petition) for dependents, if depedents won't be able to come within a year? If yes, how much time will take to transfer case from AOS to CP?

I got my 140 approved and my 6 yr H1 gets over in Jan 2010.
Could someone tell me whn is the earliest I can apply for my 3 yr extension??
And is there a time period before you have to apply for the extension?

Hello everyone,
I had come and been living in California since Feb 2010 under F1 visa.
My mom filed the form I-130 to petition me last year when my PD was current (Dec 2010), I filed the form I-485 to AOS. I got fingerprint done and was issued the EAD card plus a valid SSN and Alien number also. And last week I just got the INterview done at the local USCIS. Unfortunately, the officer said because the retrogression of visa bulletin, my PD wasnt current anymore, and all the paperwork was sent to NBC to be saved there and when my PD comes, they will issue me my GC.
I am currently going to school, and Im wondering if Im qualified for FAFSA, and am I considered as CA resident so that I dont hav to pay out-of-state resident?
Also, I will be filling out my transfer application to a university this FALL (Im going to a Community College now), what should I write for my immigration status and etc?
I will rly appreciate ur feedback!

Can students with post completion EAD work for more than one employer at the same time in their own speciality area? I mean to ask, can they work full time with one and part time with other?

No, the H1 6 yrs period will apply only when for the period when your Payrolls where generated using H1 visa.
